Wool Couture

Wool Couture was founded in 2015 by Claire and Ali Gelder and is based in Barnsley, Yorkshire. Inspired by a love of natural fibres and contemporary design, they set out to give traditional yarn crafts a modern makeover with premium DIY kits that make knitting, crochet, weaving and macrame accessible to everyone. After appearing on Dragons Den in 2017, the family-run business quickly became one of the UK's leading names in modern fibre crafts.

Today, Wool Couture creates beautifully curated knitting, crochet and macramé kits using 100% natural, sustainably sourced yarns and quality wooden tools made in-house. Every kit includes everything needed to complete the project, with beginner-friendly instructions that make learning a new craft enjoyable and rewarding.
