Inspired by traditional folk art, this characterful squirrel is made in rich burnt orange felt and decorated with embroidered leaves and flowers in shades of marl jade, gold and complementary colours. Its curled tail, pointed ears and colourful stitched details make it a lovely project for animal lovers, keen stitchers and anyone who enjoys folk-inspired craft.

Suitable for beginners and experienced crafters alike, the kit includes three pieces of wool-mix felt and 12 coordinated colours of premium DMC embroidery cotton, along with an individually wrapped embroidery needle and toy filling. Extra clear instructions, full-scale templates and a stitch guide take you through the project from start to finish, with everything you need included apart from scissors.

Designed in Yorkshire by award-winning textile artist Corinne Lapierre, the finished squirrel measures approximately 12cm excluding its hanging loop. Display it as a colourful woodland ornament, add it to a seasonal collection or give the completed squirrel as a handmade gift.
