Irene Tan's striking red waratah design captures the distinctive shape and layered petals of this much-loved Australian wildflower, recreated in colourful embroidery with contrasting green leaves. Use it to personalise a denim jacket, tote bag, backpack, hat or other fabric favourite.

At 75mm wide x 67mm high, this fully embroidered Australian flower patch comes with an iron-on backing for simple application at home. Place the waratah in your chosen position, set your iron to high and press for approximately 30-40 seconds until securely attached. For items that receive plenty of wear, you can add a few stitches around the edge for additional strength.

Missy Minzy is the creative label of Melbourne artist and illustrator Irene Tan. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in graphic design and illustration, Irene creates colourful artwork influenced by Australian flora and fauna, travel, surface patterns and slices of everyday life. Her distinctive style combines hand-drawn illustration with bold colours, playful details and pattern, bringing a contemporary twist to familiar Australian subjects.
